New Books have arrived!
On Friday a large box arrived with Amazon written on it! Nope, it wasn’t a shipment containing anything exotic from the South American jungle … it contained my next shipment of books. A present to myself.
So, I have updated my Bookshelf widget (see toward the bottom of the right side bar) and added the books to my Amazon Wishlist – click here to get the direct links to the texts.
So, here’s what I’m now reading …
Improv Wisdom by Patricia Madson – recommended by the tribe at the Applied Improv Network
The Element by Sir Ken Robinson – can’t wait to get into this one!
Brain Rules by Dr John Medina – this one reconnects me back to Neuro-Psych lectures at Uni.
Everything’s an Offer by Robert Pynton – recommended by Viv and Johnnie and the best Improv book they have read
Slide:ology by Nancy Durate – Recommended by another favourite author/blogger/presenter Garr Reynolds over at Presentation Zen.
And here’s a book on loan from Viv McWaters’ bookshelf …
Tribes by Seth Godin – reading this one at the moment and enjoying the simple, straight forward language
I’ll sum up each book in a picture over the next few months.
Cheers
Geoff

Thanks for mentioning my book, Improv Wisdom, on your site. I hope it speaks to you. I would love to hear what you think. May all of your improvisations turn out well!
Best wishes,
Patricia Ryan Madson
Hi Geoff
You will be busy!! I’ve just finished reading ‘the Element’, the much awaited book by Ken Robinson. It was worth waiting for.
I use Amazon a lot too, I like the idea of buying second hand books where possible. I think I will be looking at Amazon in the UK though because of the current exchange rates!!
Heather
Hi Geoff,
Thanks for these great book recommendations – I knew about Ken Robinson and Seth Godin but the books on improvisation are a real discovery for me! Can’t wait to check them out.
Also, I live in France and have family in Victoria so our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
